Aly Hernandez is a Latina actress born and raised in sunny California. She now resides in NYC attending NYU Tisch, and training at Stonestreet Studios.

Aly has a self-proclaimed “big heart” filled with passion and emotion. She brings her whole heart into the process with a deep appreciation for the beauty and poetry of being human. She’s drawn to the stories of ordinary people in extraordinary circumstances. She’s fascinated by how people fail and succeed and the thoughts that flood their minds. She’s obsessed with the way people just live. She enjoys exploring the depths of human emotion and the complexities of the human experience. Breathing life into her characters and telling the story of the script are her top priorities.

Recent credits include Taylor in A White Girl’s Understudy (Chain Theater), Emma in Fefu and Her Friends (Atlantic Acting School), and Deianeira D/Chorus in Women in Trachis (Atlantic Acting School).

When she’s not on stage, she’s on the production side designing costumes. She finds joy in highlighting everyone’s individuality as actors through the world of the play. She’s fascinated by how much of the story can be told through clothes. She loves fashion design and works as a stylist in fashion retail.

Recent work includes Co-Costume Designer for Timon of Athens (The Elif Collective), Costume Designer for Phrogz (Frayed Knot Collective), and Lost Girl (Atlantic Acting School). She is currently designing the costumes for The Antipodes for NYU’s TACT.
